“Ahem, excuse me, Miss Emma, would you please look at these kitties happily wearing their lovingly-hand-knit sweaters? Isn’t Penny, the grey and white kitty, beautiful in her colorful vest and long-sleeve turtleneck ribbed sweater? Wouldn’t you like to wear your pretty brown cabled sweater that your Mommy knit for you? The weather is turning cooler, and you still have, umm, a bit of shortage of fur on your sides…”

IMG_1671I haven’t tried recently, but here was the original reaction:
First the begruding donning of the sweater. Then, fifteenIMG_1674 minutes later, here was the sweater, shed on the kitchen floor.
Thank you Christine Landry for the free pattern and inspiration! Thank you, Cuteoverload for posting about cat sweaters.

Hi, Trish! I should type a “health contacts” email. I don’t have work today, but I might go to noon-time Bible Study. I worked 1 to 9 p.m. at teh library last night but forgot my supper at home, so I took myself to the little Vietnamese restaurant 2 blocks away. I will probably take the food I packed (Amy put it away for me)for my lunch today.
I still haven’t brought out my Halloween decorations. AMy and I bought several bags of fun-size Snickers to give the trick-or-treaters tomorrow night.

Just to clarify, I didn’t use the free pattern from Christine Landry for Emma’s sweater, it was a modification of the sweater calculator from this site by Lucia Liljegren…
